We need lots of help to make Mass happen. We hold multiple training days each semester. So, if you've always wanted to help with one of the ministries at Mass but didn't know how...now's your chance! We rely on student volunteers to serve as
Lectors The men and women who read at Mass should be trained to proclaim the word clearly and well. The lector can read all the readings except the Gospel. He or she may announce the intentions of the General Intercessions.
Servers The "ministers" or servers assist in the sanctuary. Their ceremonial duties are essential to good liturgy. They wear an alb or cassock and surplice and sit in the sanctuary.
Cantor The cantor or choir director leads the responsorial psalm and other responses. He or she may take the place of the choir when necessary.
Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist Extraordinary lay ministers of the Eucharist are trained to administer the Eucharist reverently and efficiently at Mass
Ushers Ushers have the role of welcoming and assisting people. They care for the offertory, the customary collections, the distribution of hymnals or other books for the liturgy and they ensure that processions are not impeded.
We rely on students like you to make Mass a prayerful experience. When you register let us know how you would like to be involved!
